Hanoi (AFP) – Vietnam and Indonesia drew 2-2 after extra time at the second leg of the Suzuki Cup semi-finals Wednesday, ensuring the Garuda a spot in the final after a hard-fought battle against the Golden Stars.

Indonesia’s top striker Stefano Lilipaly drew first blood in the 54th minute after a first half that saw no goals at Hanoi’s My Dinh stadium packed with a raucous crowd splashed with red and yellow.

Indonesia on Saturday beat Vietnam 2-1 at home in the first leg of the semi-finals of the fiercely contested regional tournament.
